A janitor at the Shostakovich Philharmonic in St Petersburg. The director of the Philharmonic noted in a conversation with journalists that Konovalov was disabled as a child. He was detained on 21 August 2023 and sent to custody on 23 August on charges of public justification of terrorism in connection with the pasting of flyers of "the Ukrainian paramilitary association, recognised as a terrorist organisation by the ruling of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation". Later it became known that Konovalov was also accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organisation and inducement to participate in terrorist activities. On 3 October 2024, he was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime colony.
