A "Crimean Solidarity" activist. On March 27, 2019, he was detained after a search and on the next day placed in custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, due to alleged involvement in the Islamist party "Hizb ut-Tahrir", which has nothing to do with terrorism. He was sent to a pre-trial detention centre in Rostov region, later transferred back to Crimea. In March 2020, it became known that Abdullayev was also accused of preparing to overthrow the constitutional order. On May 12, 2022, he was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony.
