Verdict

He was a civil activist, supported Crimean Tatars, travelled to the places of searches, visited courts. He was a citizen journalist for Crimean Solidarity. In 2020, he received a press card of the publication "Grani.ru" and regularly attended court hearings on the cases of political prisoners of Crimea. On 11 August 2022, Temerianov's home was searched. He was taken into custody on charges of organising the activities of a terrorist organisation and preparing for a violent seizure of power. Vilen has numerous health problems that were aggravated in prison: in particular, his eyesight has deteriorated, he is bothered by stomach pains, needs urgent assistance from a dentist and complains about knee pain.
